Sales are underway and foundation work is starting on a major residential and commercial development on Bonita Beach Rd., just over a mile from Bonita Beach.

Cabana Resort & Spa will include 110 residential condominiums in a seven-story building on the north side of Bonita Beach Rd., just east of the Bonita Village development near the intersection of Luke St. and Vanderbilt Drive. The new resort’s residences will include two and three bedroom models with separate lock-out suites.

Cabana’s luxury appointments and building standards include higher ceilings, eight-foot tall, solid core interior doors with wide casings and six-inch baseboards.  Premium flooring is installed in all the rooms, highlighted by intricate mosaic tile motifs for a dramatic effect.  Quartz countertops, solid wood cabinetry with 42-inch high upper cabinets, Kohler fixtures and GE Profile stainless steel appliances are standard Kitchen appointments.  The Baths have separate commode rooms and full-height frameless shower enclosures that are tiled floor-to-ceiling and feature oversized, rainforest-style shower heads.  Bath vanity mirrors are LED-backlit throughout and all residences have Powder Rooms.

The entertainment and attractions will be what set Cabana apart from other developments and make it a year round destination.  It offers a combined seven-acres of resort pools including a huge and meandering Lazy River water feature designed to delight and engage at every turn.  It offers sun and shade decks, a ‘surfable’ triple Flow Rider, a stunning waterfall pool adjacent to Cabana’s Tiki Hut and a quiet pool for peaceful reflection and meditation.   A separate children’s play area with shaded section and splash pad is featured as well as a rock climbing wall and interactive video game space.  Private and open-to-the-public affairs, pop-up events and celebrations will be featured all year long.

In addition, Cabana’s Grand Food Hall will extend along its wide Bonita Beach Road frontage from Luke Street to Meadow Lark Lane.  The open and airy expanse will be sheathed in glass for almost endless 360 degree views.  Anchored by inviting parks at each end, the Hall is designed for boardwalk strolling, casual to fine dining, shopping, sampling and socializing over brews, art installations, entertainment and Bonita-centric sights in an all-seasons comfortable setting.  The Grand Food Hall will be heat and humidity controlled to invite year-round usage, and along with its parks will be open to the public, showcasing select micro-brewers, live music, exotic and exceptional foods and occasional artful sundries – always with a Cabana commitment to quality and originality. The space and its scheduling will be kept flexible to respond to seasonal usage and popularity.

Cabana’s singular location along Bonita Beach Road makes it the only gateway access to the Gulf of Mexico between north Naples and South Ft. Myers.  If you want to go to the beach in Bonita, you have to pass Cabana to get there.  That visibility and ease of access will introduce an ever changing audience to the family fun and year round luxurious lifestyle that Cabana Resort brings to Bonita Springs.
