The NCH Healthcare System has purchased the Naples Daily News building for just shy of $28 million.
The 186,000 square foot building is located at 1100 Immokalee Rd. in North Naples just a couple of blocks from NCH North Hospital.
NCH plans to relocate administrative support functions to the facility such as accounting, billing, integrated technology, supply chain and system warehousing, as well as human resources, marketing and other non-clinical support services.
The building was constructed by the newspaper’s previous owner E.W. Scripps in 2009 on the 18 acre parcel inside Creekside Commerce Park.
Media giant Gannett has since purchased the publication, as well as others including the Fort Myers News-Press. Both newspapers are now printed at Gannett’s Sarasota Herald-Tribune facility.
The Naples Daily News will continue to lease space inside the of the Immokalee Rd. building.
