A 67 acre parcel on the northwest corner of Bonita Beach Rd. and Bonita Grande Drive, east of I-75, will be developed into a commercial, retail and residential community.
Midtown at Bonita is being developed by the Zuckerman Group, based in Coconut Creek, Florida. The company has built several residential communities in Southwest Florida, including Sienna Reserve in Naples and Venetian Pointe in South Fort Myers.
Midtown at Bonita will be a mixed use development with 315,000 square feet of retail and commercial space, 482 multi-family residential units and a six story 165 room hotel. The project is slated to cost $186 million to construct.
The Zuckerman Group describes the development this way:
Perfectly situated just east of I-75 on Bonita Beach Road, Midtown at Bonita Springs is the first community of its kind in the area to fully embrace today’s concepts of pedestrian-friendly walkability and the preservation of open space. More than 30 acres of the tree-lined community are dedicated to preserves, open space areas, and lakes, while a combination of residential and commercial developments allow people to work, live, and lounge in equal measure. Though functioning as the social center of east Bonita Springs, Midtown at Bonita Springs still manages to retain the classic charm of Florida’s Gulf Coast while providing the exceptional quality of life that has brought international renown to Southwest Florida.
