Construction of a $140 million sports and wellness complex is underway on the property that was formerly the Bonita Springs greyhound racetrack near the intersection of Old U.S. 41 and Bonita Beach Rd. Elevate Southwest Florida is developing the 20-acre parcel. Indoor and outdoor athletic facilities including volleyball, pickleball, and basketball among other sports will be featured, along with wellness amenities, fitness studios, walking trails, along with a food park a nd dog park. The entire project is being built in phases and is scheduled to be completed in 2030.
