The site of the former Wyndham Hotel, at 6890 Estero Blvd. on the south end of Fort Myers Beach, is slated to become a beachfront food truck park, tiki bar and entertainment venue.
The Fort Myers Beach Local Planning Agency has approved the development of an 11,200 square feet pole barn tiki structure that will include six food service mobile trailers.
Plans also call for a pool and lazy river swimming area, live music with outdoor seating and parking. If the Fort Myers Beach Town Council goes along, the developer plans to have the facility open for the 2026-2027 Winter tourist season. The Wyndham Hotel, formerly a Holiday Inn, was destroyed in 2022 by Hurricane Ian.
