State sales tax receipts, a strong indication of economic activity, finished the last quarter of 2010 up 5% in Lee and Collier Counties in a year over year comparison. For all of 2010, Lee County had a 1.9% increase in sales tax collected when compared to 2009 and Collier had an even stronger 3.3% gain. The Ft.
