If you’re looking for a relaxed community nestled away from all of the hustle and bustle of tourists, but perfectly located for boating, and water activities, Bonita Shores and Little Hickory Shores are the perfect hideaway. These Collier County communities are bordered on the North and East by Lee County and the City of Bonita Springs and to the West by Little Hickory Bay.
The neighboring communities are distinguished by water. Homes in Bonita Shores, the larger of the two adjoining neighborhoods, are biking distance to both Barefoot and Bonita Beaches, but there are no canal front lots or direct Gulf access properties. Residents of Bonita Shores do benefit from a deeded boat launch in the community with direct, quick (15 to 20 minutes) Gulf access. Bonita Shores is an older neighborhood and many homes, some on the small side (under 1,200 Sq. Ft.) built in the 1950’s and 1960’s stand side by side with larger newer constructed homes. There are no deed restrictions or Homeowner’s Association. Homes start in price at just below $300,000. There are two condominium complexes within Bonita Shores-Shore Woods and Glen Manor. 2 Bed, 2 Bath condominiums are priced just below $200,000. Many residents of Bonita Shores are seasonal-Winter time only.

Little Hickory Shores consists of six streets that extend out into Little Hickory Bay, providing the optimum in Gulf boating access. This neighborhood also has many smaller mid-century homes, but the canal front lots and proximity to the Gulf of Mexico have brought several large (4000+ Sq. Ft.), newer construction homes that start in price at $1.5 million dollars. The starting price for homes in Little Hickory Shores is just under $500,000.
