Spanish Wells Country Club has been sold to Escalante Golf for an undisclosed amount of money. Privately held Escalante Golf owns or manages nine other golf courses and private clubs in five states, including Tarpon Cove Yacht and Racquet Club in North Naples where Spanish Wells members will also enjoy full membership privileges. Colorado Springs based Escalante Golf has been in business 20 years and according to the company’s web site, has created a track record of growing bottom line revenue even in down markets.
Spanish Wells, located just East of U.S. 41 and South of Bonita Beach Rd. in Bonita Springs, has 27 holes of championship golf, a 32,000 sq. ft. clubhouse, five Har-Tru tennis courts and three different dining and food venues. The 600 acre gated community has 1200 residences ranging from condominiums and coach homes to 3000+ sq. ft. single family homes. Home prices currently range from just over $100,000 to just over $700,000.
